How Does the Penguin Plasma Air Sterilising Robot Work?
Within the field of indoor air disinfection and sterilization, plasma technology has shown its unparalleled superiority.
Plasma contains a large number of active oxygen ions and high-energy free radicals as part of its components make-up.
The protein and nucleic acid substances in viruses are oxidized and denatured so eradicating most types of microorganisms.
During extensive testing after the Penguin use, observation was completed using an electron microscope. This identified that the bacterial cells and virus particles were full of holes – which were achieved with the use of electrons and ions with high kinetic energy.
Therefore, when microorganisms pass through the plasma disinfection field, high-speed particles can quickly penetrate the cell membrane to destroy DNA and proteins, causing them to rapidly lose their activity (inactivation of germ cells) until they are killed or decomposed.
This process prevents the reproduction of microorganisms. (Such as bacteria and fungal spores)
